The Objective

VIVA set out to launch the Recharge Travel Mug on Kickstarter with two key goals:

Achieve rapid funding to validate demand and generate momentum.

Educate customers on the Recharge’s patented steep-control system and premium design, clearly differentiating it from the countless standard travel mugs on the market.

The Project

Content Division was responsible for creating the Kickstarter campaign video — the central storytelling tool for the launch. Our team handled concept, scripting, filming, and editing, crafting a piece that:

Clearly explained the patented steep-control technology in a simple, visual way.

Showcased the Recharge in action, both in daily routines and lifestyle settings.

Balanced product education with emotional storytelling, connecting with both tea and coffee drinkers.

Delivered a premium production value that elevated VIVA above typical Kickstarter campaigns.

The Results

The Kickstarter campaign was a resounding success, hitting its funding goal in under 24 hours.

Ultimately raised over $215,000 from more than 4,000 backers worldwide.

The video became the primary driver of trust and conversion, helping audiences immediately understand why Recharge was different from other mugs.

Post-campaign, the video was repurposed across social media, paid ads, and e-commerce, extending its impact well beyond Kickstarter.

The success positioned Recharge as a flagship product in VIVA’s catalog, and showcased how a single, well-executed video can drive both crowdfunding momentum and long-term brand growth.
